It is presumed that Bruce Bonney, in collusion with Rene Dahinden at some point altered the lips of the subject in the Patterson film known as "Patty.."

The photo on the left is NOT an accurate portrayal of "Patty" because it is different from the master- copy Mrs. Patterson has in her possession; comparisons are shown above and below, in
fact all of the mainstream copies of the Patterson film I have Googled, are not consistent with the master copy.
Time has darkened them and clearly they have been altered, giving "Patty" an ape look!

The differences are predominately in the region of the mouth, upper lip, lower lip, chin with exaggerated slitting of the mouth region. It has taken several of us 13 years to make sense of this problem.....other discrepancies in the hands and teeth area
are still being studied by a half-dozen film experts....

Many of the photographs previously published in various
bigfoot related publications would appear to be of no
scientific value, at least until someone explains the reasons
for these deviations from the master copy.

There have been many uses of the head shot (frame 352) with the more ape like image culminating in years and years of artisitc license with these questionable images. The power of suggestion created by these ape-like manipulations in the film has been huge.

I know what the faces of the Sasquatch look like.
The average person does not...
Clearly the publishing of these manipulated images has given research a false sense of what is true about the Patterson creature's facial features, -lulling students of the film into thinking in terms of great apes instead of what is actually a more human-like life form. I would further say to my readers, I am not happy with the intimidating emails I've received from the over-bearing weight-swinging principles in BF research who want these photos removed. I absolutely stand my ground on this! - None of them have offered me a plausible explanation for the discrepancies seen here other than some lame lines like Dahinden wouldn't do such a thing and Bonney was a good guy. Those words do not speak to these discrepancies. Unfortunately, this isn't the only manipulation in the film recently uncovered. It appears that fingers were added to the same frame where the head shot shows facial deviations. Those who are leaning on me say it's just a blob!!

Postscript: In November 2008 - it was discovered that Bonney (presumably) not only manipulated the mouth area
and the fingers, but also lowered the mouth and added canine teeth to the Patterson subject. There are several
reasons I can think of for men to alter the human look and make the subject in the Patterson film more presentable
with their idea of ape characteristics... all of them narcissistic and self-serving... shame on those involved...
