Bigfoot Encounters

Athol, Kootenai County, Idaho June 1997

Weather was clear and the sun was up as former California Highway Patrol Officer from Orange County, California told of his brief encounter. He is retired and living with his wife in the State of Idaho.  The officer has asked for and is receiving anonymity...

“It was 7:15 a.m, PST - I was driving northbound on highway 95, approximately 5 miles north of Athol, Idaho when an upright bipedal dark brown colored hairy creature walked across the road near the intersection of Old House Road and Hwy 95 junction.  The creature came from my right and walked swiftly to my left across the road.  It was at least seven feet tall, upright, brown and weighed more than 300 pounds.  Both sides of the highway are wooded areas. I drive that way every Monday and Friday and this is the first time I've seen the creature. I live near Coeur d'Alene, in northern Idaho.”

The Officer's name was suppressed.
