Elmo Reed 1101 Oak Street in Carthage Missouri was one of a groups of
ten who investigated (in brush country) things that came into the barnyards
and killed calves and sheep. Reed has also seen footprints a number of
times, one measured 24" X's 10" wide.

Jared Sparks in the southeastern swamps of Missouri shot and killed something
he could not identify that was described "something like a gorilla"
According to Sparks, the creature was able to rip up full grown cattle
and horses.

An animal wasreportedly shot to death
after ripping a cow apart in the Nigger Wool Swamps. May be a follow up

Ridge, Pulaski County Missouri
1947
Glen Payne of Sedalia heard from his cousin Martin Burford that coon hunters
chased a thing that had been killing his sheep and goats. It killed all
dogs that tangled with it. In October of 1947, Payne chased it with his
"hog dogs" and saw in lights a giant hairy man-shaped thing
running ahead of his dogs. It killed the dogs and in the process overturned

Joseph Missouri
May 1966
Larry Lawhon with five others, hunting supposed man or animal that had
been scaring youngsters in the backwoods of a public park at the northern
edge of St. Joseph. "Dark Shaped" seen all of the men. It passed
within 30 yards of the informant Lawhon. He gave no description but identified
it 1976 as a bigfoot like thing. He filled out a form with full detail
saying it was 9 to 10 feet tall, very heavy with short black hair.

July 11, 1972
At 3:30 pm Terri and Doris Harrison were playing the the back yard when
they saw a "big hairy thing with a dog under its arm." They
ran in the house and looked out the window, saw the creature standing
in the ditch. It was about 7 feet tall and stinks. It ran on two legs
they reported to Pike County Police Chief Shelby Ward. The report was carried in the
Chicago Sun-Times July 21, 1972 and in the Los Angeles Herald Examiner
July 20 1972 and other newspapers.

of Joplin, Missouri
September 27, 1975
High school teacher Steve McFall told Sheriff Joe Abramovitz that he saw
an ape-like creature, big and hairy that jumped in front of his car forcing
him in the ditch. Described the creature as 7 feet tall, walked like man,
had light colored spots on its face.. The area is wooded. A search on Friday night found nothing but there
have been other reports by residents of such a monster in the same area.

Frankfort: Summer 1970 Unnamed informant
Creature was reported to the Pike County Sheriff's Department Description
fits Sasquatch. The Sheriff said this report, the Busch report and the
Louisiana, MO., reports roughly bound desolate heavily wooded areas with
