Windsor, Berkshire County, Massachusetts
The fall of 1998, while hunting deer on the property of General Butte in Windsor, I saw an animal that I couldn't tell you what it was I figure it weighed somewhere between 400 and 500 pounds. I have been hunting bear all of my life and I can tell you it was not a bear I saw. I could have shot the creature with no problem at all, because it was only about 30 yards away from me, but I didn't know what would happen with the law.
The animal I saw was about 6 to 7 feet high. The fur on it was like the hair on a horse and had a silver shine to it like a black bear has. The eyes of the creature were that reddish brown like a rooster's colored eyes. The forehead was about the size of a bear but like an ape. I see pictures of bigfoot, but nothing like that, nothing. It didn't have that same look.
That night when I got home, my wife new that something was wrong. She told me that I was as white as the sheet of a ghost. The next day I took two of my best dogs and wanted to capture the animal but the dogs won't take the trail or they lost the scent in the swamp, I don't know which.
