Hells Canyon, Nez Perce County, Idaho
March 2008

This last weekend (March, 2008) my friends and I where camping, and somehow we got on the subject of Big Foot. At first we laughed about it, but it turns out that two of the four guys (both avid bow hunters) had heard a similar sound while hiking into a remote area of Hells Canyon, Idaho.

The way they described it was a cross between a woman screaming and a cougar, but much too loud to be either.  One of the men said that later on in the night he had heard branches snapping and had smelled something akin to urine and feces, but VERY strong.

He did find tracks the next day. He said that they were much larger and wider than human tracks, but they had the same general characteristics.

The area where the tracks came from is part of 500 acres that is owned by my friend's uncle.

It is VERY remote and is only used for elk hunting.  I know I have made it sound like this was the same account, but it was three accounts, from two men who have never met in their life before now.  I don't know if this helps you or not, but if you are interested I can see if I can get some good directions for you.

Let me know...
