This happened near a wooded area not far from Ukiah, California. Ukiah is located in Mendocino County
north of Santa Rosa between Willits and Healdsburg along US Highway 101 on the banks of the Russian River
near Clear Lake and the Pacific Ocean.
The creature was hair covered and somewhere between 7 and 8 feet tall, with the light its color was brownish
grey. It didn't seem at all threatening. It did smell similar to that of a goat. It made no vocal noises and
didn't seem afraid.
The creature stayed within 30 feet until it apparently lost interest in me and then it walked back into the trees.
It made changing a tire memorable.
