Fort Nelson British Columbia ....Alaska Highway 199
1

(Track photos included below plus map location of Ft. Nelson...)

Fort Nelson B.C. is at mile 300 on the Alaska Highway in case you didn’t know. I’ve lived here for over twenty years. I’m a rock hound and do some prospecting in spare time so I am in bush quite a bit.

I've seen several tracks over the years but only have a few good photos of a track I found in August 1991. There were lots of tracks on the mud bar but it was the end of my film in camera. I've looked along the river several times since then but haven't found anything since.

This is a track I found at Fort Nelson. B.C. in 1991. I've see several like this over the years. The size is about the same in most that I have seen in this area. I've also seen a pair of tracks, one large and the other much smaller like a child.

On the right, my boot print is 11 1/2 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide  to give you an idea about the track size plus I weigh 220 lbs.  All the toes were there but hard to see in the photo; the shadow doesn't help either.

There were lots more tracks there but it was my last photo.

I followed them for about 50 yards along the mud flats by the river then they went into thick willows. I didn't feel comfortable about following them any further :-)

Thanks for your time. Tom McBurnie

This second photo shows the difference between McBurnie's bare footprint and the
sasquatch's print, his bare foot measures 11 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide at widest part...

Where is Ft. Nelson located?
