Laurine Davis called Ray Crowe to say they had gone to Estacada, OR, on May 16th, to get tree cutting permits.

As they drove through the canyon on Springwater Road near the Gerbers feed store, Dan noticed what he thought was a great big gorilla type thing, probably his imagination, he says.

It was 2 PM, and they were about 5 miles out of Oregon City.

He said the it was a big, dark, creature, Dan said, "extremely big." Just standing, and by then they had gone past, but he didn't stop. It was raining and the creature was 100-150 feet off the road.
