Pontotoc County Oklahoma.
Byng, Near the South Canadian River - May 1994

I recently located your site and was so happy to find it. When I tell my story to friends and family, they just laugh and say that Bigfoot is just a fairy tale. I always believed in Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti but I have never encountered one, but my daughter did.

My daughter was 10 years old at the time of her encounter. She had just got home off of the school bus and went out behind our house to the doghouse where we keep our dogs. She heard a noise about 20 yards behind the doghouse and went around to see what it was. (We live in the country, about a half a mile from the South Canadian River where wild game is a plenty, especially deer).

Upon her going to the west side of the doghouse she spotted a small spotted fawn jump through the fence onto my property, it was running frantically. All of the sudden a huge brownish orange hairy creature that stood around 8 feet stepped over the fence in pursuit of the small fawn. My daughter yelled at the creature asking it, "What are you doing?". The creature turned around and looked her in the eyes and growled rather loud, then turned and pursued his chase of the fawn.

Her description was very similar to those on your site. About 8 ft tall, very broad shoulders, walked upright-slightly stooped at the waist, hairy face with similar humanoid features., with a smell of a sewer (Her words) and with yellowish eyes.

She met me when I arrived home from work and was noticeably scared, shaking, crying, and unable to talk for a while. I finally calmed her down enough so that she could tell me what happened. I went to where she saw the creature and found four sizeable footprints that measured at least 18 inches long and about 9 inches wide at the ball of the foot. This was a very eye opening confirmation of something that I always believed existed.
